Vijay Kumar:
Your query indicates you are primarily interested in following the path
of Bhakti Yoga which is something very different from jnana yoga... the path that directly leads to God! In
Bhakti Yoga we primarily sing praise of gods and goddesses without truly inferring the meaning behind! Bhakti
Yoga is practically following a blind alley... a path of total submission to
God!
The path of Bhakti Yoga is a very long route for reaching God Almighty.
At a certain stage in the later years of spiritual pursuit... the path of Bhakti Yoga finally merges with the
path of jnana yoga! It is only through the path of jnana yoga one finally comes face-to-face with God
Almighty... reaches the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi... never otherwise!
One can have intermittent glimpses of God following the path of Bhakti
Yoga... but if we desire remaining in permanent communion with God all the time... it is the path of jnana
yoga that needs to be traveled! Your wanting and hearing praises of Lord Shiva, Shirdi Sai Baba and ma
Parvathi paves way for a cleaner and purer life!
However if we desire reaching God... we need to meditate in a different
manner! What if I tell you there has never been one like Lord Shiva! No human being by the name of Lord Shiva
has ever surfaced on Mother Earth! None by the name of Lord Shiva ever existed on Mother Earth. Lord Shiva is
not a physical entity... it is an attribute of God!
In Hinduism we have three attributes of God Almighty... Lord Brahma, the
Creator... Bhagwan Vishnu, the preserver and Lord Shiva, the ultimate maintainer of the whole cosmic
system... the destroyer! It is Lord Shiva who exercises absolute powers over death! Unless death is there in
the cosmic system... the system by itself cannot survive!
One who has been born... also must die! That is how the cosmic system
propels by itself! Also there has never been one by the name of Bhagwan Vishnu or Lord Brahma! The three
independent entities assigned to God Almighty were for the sole purpose of simplifying worship and praying to
God Almighty!
I have already explained to you the meaning of meditation yoga! You need
to definitely decide the goal of your life! Meditation yoga is not a goal... but a path of life! The goal of
life has to be fixed! What we ultimately desire in present life is of importance! Always remember we have one
life to live... who knows what we shall be in the next manifestation!
To make things more clear... Every human being has two paths to follow in
life! The first path is living the present journey of life... the life of 70 to 80 years in the best possible
manner! For living this path... the present sojourn of physical manifest life... one needs diving deep into
the Wisdom of Ramayana... the epic Ramayana of Hinduism!
The highest manifest stage that can be reached by a human being in the
present physical life is the status of Lord Rama... Bhagwan Rama of Hinduism... the prime reason why Bhagwan
Rama is also known as maryada Purushottam Rama! There is nothing beyond the status of Bhagwan Rama that can
be achieved by human beings! Bhagwan Rama is the epitome of physical manifest life!
For all practical purposes Bhagwan Rama is the end goal of physical
manifest life! For living the mundane life... the mortal life in the best possible manner... reading Ramayana
and assimilating the gist of the religious matter is sufficient! One need not indulge in the Sacred Bhagavad
Gita of Hinduism... if we do not desire traveling the spiritual path... the path of jnana yoga?
The second path... the path towards inner self... our soul atman within
is the path of jnana yoga... the path of Bhagavad Gita... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna in Mahabharata! For all
practical purposes... the Sacred Bhagavad Gita is the end of all if spirituality is the goal of our life!
Indulging in Bhagavad Gita one can definitely reach the highest portals of spiritual life... the stage of
enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha).
Indulging in Bhakti Yoga and Ramayana one can never know the Wisdom
contained in the Sacred Bhagavad Gita. The spiritual journey... the uncharted path of spirituality can only
be traveled by following the pearls of wisdom contained in the Sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism. The Wisdom
contained in Bhagavad Gita is the end of all! The knower of Bhagavad Gita finally becomes the knower of all!
One physically gains omniscience forever.
The gist of the matter is... for traveling the religious part of life...
one need follow only the epic Ramayana... all teachings related to Bhagwan Rama! For following the path of
spirituality... the path undertaken by serious seekers of spirituality... assimilating the pearls of wisdom
contained in the Sacred Bhagavad Gita is essential!
Indulging in Bhagavad Gita... reading in between the lines of Bhagavad
Gita... one finally reaches the last leg of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation when one gains
enlightenment and finally salvation! True meditation yoga is necessitated to travel the spiritual path... the
spiritual journey!
To maintain inner calm... inner poise indulgence in various yogic
exercises is sufficient! Yoga meditation simply means the effort of the soul atman trying to merge with the
supreme soul Brahman (God Almighty) at the earliest! Reaching the end of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth
manifestation is the end goal of every life! Whether we do it now... in the present life... or many
manifestations henceforth is the sole prerogative of every individual human being!
Yoga meditation is best performed the Neti way of life (not this, not
this)... as preached and advocated by Maharishi Ramana. Lying in the Shavasana pose of yoga... practicing
Neti all the way... one finally reaches the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi when one can have communion with God
on one-to-one basis and that too permanently!
One of the foremost requisites of the path of spirituality is remaining
truthful all the time! Secondly we need to practice absolute celibacy (aka Brahmacharya Vrata) for a minimum
period of 12 years in continuation! This helps in full awakening of the Kundalini that ultimately opens up
the Shahastra Pushpa (the thousand petalled lotus) existing within our brain behind the forehead!
I again repeat... The ultimate goal of life must be absolutely clear
before our wanting to follow the religious or the spiritual part of life! One is the path advocated by
Ramayana and the other defined in the Sacred Bhagavad Gita by Lord Krishna!
