Even though many essays articles on the topic of ultimate goal of life existed on my different websites... still, you ask?

The answer to this query... ultimate goal of life clearly laid in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism. As per Bhagavad Gita the present physical manifest human form was undertaken by our soul atman to cleanse self of dross impurities within. Our soul atman, the spirit within was the absolute master and controller of human body and not vice versa. It was not within the capability of human form to manifest a soul atman. A soul is termed atman in Hinduism.

As no soul atman could purify self of its own... it needs a body, a medium to work out its karma! It is only through chain of 8.4 million manifestations in its entire life cycle, every soul atman finally reached cosmic end of life... 8.4 millionth manifestation! Of 8.4 million manifestations on the whole, the initial 7.3 million manifestations occurred in insect, plant and animal life. In the remaining 1.1 million manifestations in human form, one was expected to reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) forever!

The moment human beings reached stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)... it announced end of journey for a soul atman, the spirit within! The cosmic goal of life... the goal of life for human beings always remained human beings reaching stage of enlightenment by following path of spirituality that directly led to God Almighty. All souls’ atmans initially separated from their source... God Almighty himself! And reaching the same source in 8.4 millionth manifestation was the ultimate goal of life for all souls’ atmans in cosmos!

Human form was the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle. It is only in human form a soul atman, the spirit within finally reached cosmic end of life. It is noble to be born a human for it is only in human form one could travel path of spirituality. In present life we may or may not want to travel spiritual path but ultimate goal of life for all human beings always remained... reaching stage of enlightenment by traveling path of pure spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism.

For a traveler of religious path... spirituality, soul atman... enlightenment carried no meaning, prime reason why people world over preferred to travel path of religion over path of spirituality because it was much easier to travel. One thing people failed to realize that god could never be reached via path of religion (path of rituals). God can only be reached via path of jnana yoga (path of absolute wisdom) as detailed in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism. Path of spirituality means traveling path of jnana yoga.
