Definition of spiritual journey as detailed in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is knowing our true inner self... our soul atman... the spirit within! As per Bhagavad Gita it is only by undertaking spiritual journey human beings finally reached God Almighty! Spiritual journey was necessitated for reaching stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)!

If people asked, did spirituality start in India... the plain answer is... yes! Spirituality definitely originated in India... erstwhile Bharatvarsha! Right from Lord Krishna to Swami Vivekananda... all man gods like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana originated from India!

The complete wisdom of Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed owed its existence to teachings of Bhagavad Gita! The missing years in the life of Jesus Christ... from age 13 to 29 explained it all! During this period Jesus Christ came to India stowed on a ship! He finally gained jnana (wisdom) in the famous universities of Nalanda and Taxila that existed in India at that time!

The ruins of Taxila now lay in Pakistan! Prophet Mohammed also gained his jnana (wisdom) from India. He belonged to a region that bordered India (erstwhile Bharatvarsha) at that time! India is the spiritual citadel of world! Right from A to Z of spirituality... all is contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna... an avatar of his era!

Lord Krishna is never considered a man God! Lord Krishna was an avatar (God manifest in human form)! The preaching of Lord Krishna to King Arjuna in the battle of Mahabharata is termed Bhagavad Gita! Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism forms the core of spirituality... that tells us everything about our true inner self... our soul atman... the spirit within!

Wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita is necessitated for knowing truth of our soul atman! It is Bhagavad Gita that tells us that journey of life always belonged to our soul atman and never the manifest human form. Our soul atman... the spirit within is on its cosmic life cycle of 8.4 million manifestations... an earthly life span of 96.4 million years!

Our soul atman... the spirit within is the absolute master and controller of human body and not vice versa! Our soul atman manifests bodies after another to cleanse self of dross impurities within! The entire journey of 8.4 million manifestations by our soul atman is one single span of life... absolutely unbroken... uninterrupted!

For living the present manifest physical domain... the life as a human being... wisdom contained in Ramayana suffices! However if we desire knowing our true inner self... our soul atman... the spirit within... one needs dwelling in pearls of wisdom contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! Spiritual journey can only be travelled by indulgence in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism.

In present times even wisdom contained in Vedas (Hinduism revelations) does not suffice. Why? The voluminous Vedas are difficult to decipher... prime reason why extract of most primary Vedas (the Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharva Veda) was reduced by Lord Krishna to a single document... the sacred Vedanta (End of Vedas)... the sacred Bhagavad Gita!

The complete wisdom necessitated to travel spiritual path is available in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! Knowing Bhagavad Gita any human being world over could finally manifest life... reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) forever!

Apart from sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism one could indulge in primary Upanishads (independent treatises) foremost of which are... Katha Upanishad, Kena Upanishad Isa Upanishad, Prashna Upanishad, Mundaka Upanishad, Mandukya Upanishad, Aitreya Upanishad, Taittiriya Upanishad and Shwetashwatara Upanishad!

Spiritual journey... spiritual path is totally distinct from path of religion... path of rituals! One could not reach God Almighty via path of religion... path of rituals! For reaching God Almighty in present life... one needs travelling spiritual path with all sincerity and truthfulness!

Undertaking spiritual journey means travelling path of jnana yoga (path of absolute wisdom)! In present times one could not gain enlightenment via path of bhakti yoga or karma yoga! Before travelling spiritual path one needs understanding difference between spirituality and religion! The teachings of Bhagavad Gita relate to spirituality... never religion!

Hinduism primarily stands for wisdom contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism and teachings contained in various Upanishads (independent treatises). For annihilating karma to zero... for removing dross impurities within our soul atman... one needs undertaking spiritual journey... never path of religion... path of rituals!

The essence of Dharma... doctrine of karma... the crux of life... path of meditation yoga... all is detailed in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism and various Upanishads (independent treatises)! Indulgence in Upanishads expedites spiritual journey! However wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita alone suffices for human beings reaching stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)!

In present times... people feared travelling spiritual path... undertaking spiritual journey as one did not want to leave confines of family! It has been a practice in Hinduism that to learn essence of Bhagavad Gita... one needs to become a mendicant. For a mendicant to apprehend pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita... dwelling in isolated regions of Himalayas was a norm practiced in past!

Living life of a Grihastha (family life)... one finds it difficult to undertake spiritual journey! It is not impossible but practically very difficult to travel spiritual path as a married person! In the early stages of my spiritual pursuit, I was totally flabbergasted by massive scriptural texts available to mankind! I was in fact at times confused what to follow and whatnot!

As time passed by... it finally became clear to me that apart from Bhagavad Gita one need not refer any other document to gain enlightenment in ones lifetime. In the entire history of mankind the doctrine of Bhagavad Gita given to mankind by Lord Krishna is without a parallel! Only an avatar of era (God manifest in human form)... could deliver such concise information as available in Bhagavad Gita!

Right from stage of big bang theory (when God Almighty explodes self with a big bang) to dissolution of cosmos (termed Pralaya in Hinduism)... all is explained in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism in explicit detail! For knowing everything related to present cosmos... the entire cosmic structure... one needs unveiling pearls of wisdom hidden in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism!

Swami Vivekananda was one such disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa who could have easily gained enlightenment in his lifetime... only if he wanted to! Goal of life for Swami Vivekananda never was going after God Almighty! Swami Vivekananda wanted to serve the community to its best... and in that he excelled!

Every serious seeker of spirituality most of time is interested in serving community to its best! However as stated by Mahavira... the 24 Tirthankara of Jainism (preceptor)... one could serve the community at its best by becoming an enlightened one... a Jina... a Mahavira! Before preaching anything to the community... Mahavira advised to become a Mahavira first!

Mahavira of Jainism was absolutely right in his surmise! The moment I realized God in 1993... The truth of sayings of Mahavira gradually unfolded before me! Mahavira... the moment he gained enlightenment at 42 did not leave his mortal frame to gain salvation (moksha). He continued giving discourses for full 30 years before leaving mortal frame at 72 years of age!

Mahavira truly was an enlightened sage... a Tirthankara who gave back to community what he learnt on spiritual path! His preaching’s to society form core of Jainism scriptures. During previous 23 Tirthankaras (enlightened ones)... the wisdom remained limited to individual self. It was only during times of Mahavira... jnana wisdom percolated to masses!

Undertaking spiritual journey is the birthright of every single human being on mother earth! Travelling spiritual path is a priority for our soul atman... the spirit within! We do not know what form our soul atman manifests in next life... why not travel spiritual path now and reach cosmic end of life... 8.4 millionth manifestation!
