Which is the most Sacred Book of Hinduism... the sacred Bhagavad Gita (also termed Vedanta... end of Vedas) or different Vedas (Hinduism revelations) or various Upanishads (independent treatises)? Other sacred scriptures like Puranas, Itihasas, Agamas and Darshanas also form core of Hinduism! Hindu epic Ramayana is another sacred text read by millions!

Amongst all... the sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is considered most sacred! Why? Bhagavad Gita... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna in the battle of Mahabharata between Pandava and Kaurava Kings has no parallel in mankind... Bhagavad Gita forms summum bonum of spirituality... epitome of spiritual pursuit!

For a serious seeker of spirituality... there is nothing beyond sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism that is worth knowing! Knower of Bhagavad Gita finally becomes knower of all... transcends ephemeral phase of life forever... gains enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) at the end of journey! Having reached stage of enlightenment... one finally gained salvation (moksha) the moment mortal frame is left behind!

The prime goal of life for every human being on mother earth is reaching stage of enlightenment... termed self realization by many! When enlightenment can be gained by indulgence in 700 shlokas verses contained in the most holy book of Hinduism... the sacred Bhagavad Gita... why refer any other sacred scripture of Hinduism or any other religion!

One single Hinduism scripture... sacred Bhagavad Gita suffices all! Knower of Bhagwad Gita finally becomes knower of all... gains omniscience for all practical purposes... become an enlightened one... a Jina... a Mahavira! One finally transcends ephemeral phase of life forever! Bhagwad Geeta of Hinduism contains all from A-Z of spirituality.

What is karma... what is Dharma... meaning of yoga meditation... concept of heaven and hell (termed Swarga and Naraka)... definition of God Almighty... explanation of precepts of enlightenment and salvation... necessity of practising absolute celibacy... how kundalini energy can be awakened fully... all is given in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism in explicit detail!

Path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom) demands diving deep into bottomless pit of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita! Only then human beings can look forward to reaching stage of enlightenment... kaivalya jnana! In present times path of bhakti yoga or karma yoga alone does not suffice... one has to travel path of jnana (wisdom) as detailed in Bhagwad Gita!

The teachings of Bhagavad Gita can be followed by any human being world over... belonging to any religion, faith or belief. For understanding gist of Bhagavat Gita one need not convert to Hinduism ever. Even while following ones religion one can understand teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita... a sure shot path to God Almighty!

The sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is not propriety of Hinduism alone. The teachings contained in Bhagvad Gita have universal appeal. As Bhagwad Gita contains truth but only truth... understanding gist of Bhagavad Gita is not difficult!
