Spiritual enlightenment definition is best detailed in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism. Bhagavad Gita is one such scripture of Hinduism that contained everything from stage of origin of cosmos to end of cosmos... termed dissolution of cosmos! In between the two... beginning of cosmos through big bang theory and dissolution of cosmos (termed Pralaya in Hinduism) lay roots of life in cosmic system!  

Spiritual enlightenment can only be had in human form... never the lower species! The human form is the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle... on mother earth! Right from first manifestation in human form by our soul atman... the spirit within... effort of our soul atman always remained reaching end of cosmic life... 8.4 millionth manifestation at the earliest!

Does this mean the goal of human life always remained... reaching stage of spiritual enlightenment at the earliest... yes, the cosmic truth is so! 

In Hinduism a soul is termed atman! 

In its lifetime every soul atman manifested a maximum of 8.4 million bodies of which 7.3 million manifestations occurred in insect, plant and animal life and in the remaining 1.1 million manifestations human beings are expected to reach stage of spiritual enlightenment! Truly... spiritual enlightenment is the end stage of cosmic life on mother earth! 

After reaching stage of spiritual enlightenment... nothing more to do further... human beings finally gained salvation moksha. This announced the end of cosmic journey for a soul atman! The liberated soul atman finally entered Vaikuntha... abode of God... kingdom of God... a point of no return. The liberated soul finally remained in kingdom of God until eternity! 

Talking of spiritual enlightenment... all forms of physical achievements in human life come to roost! All achievements of physical manifest life carried no meaning in spiritual kingdom! In the field of pure spirituality... in the field of souls' atmans what mattered was... our indulgence in good karma... positive karma all the time! 

It is only by gaining Punya karma human beings moved ahead on spiritual scale! The spiritual path can only be travelled by negating karma gradually step-by-step! The moment our karma negated to zero... one finally became an enlightened one... a bodhi... a Jina... a Mahavira! 

Spirituality is the domain of God Almighty... the world of our soul atman! If we truly desire knowing our true inner self... realizing our true inner self... our undertaking spiritual journey was mandated by God Almighty! Without travelling spiritual path... none could reach stage of spiritual enlightenment! 

Spiritual path was never meant for philosophers... who had nothing to do with spirituality! Those who did not understand the meaning and purport of spirituality... how could they be expected to travel spiritual path. In the entire western world since the inception of mankind... only Jesus Christ gained spiritual enlightenment! 

Comparatively in India... hundreds if not thousands gained enlightenment in the entire history of mankind! The doctrine of Bhagavad Gita given by Lord Krishna forms epitome of spirituality! Fathoming depth of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita... any human being world over could easily reach stage of spiritual enlightenment. 

The definition of spiritual enlightenment as detailed in Hinduism scriptures forms the only means to reaching God in present life! God Almighty could never be reached without travelling path of spirituality. Unless one gained spiritual enlightenment... unless one reached 8.4 millionth manifestation... one could not gain salvation moksha... reach cosmic end of life! 

Spiritual enlightenment is the path... reaching God goal of human life! 

Terminology like enlightenment age, Immanuel Kant enlightenment, enlightenment philosophers and Rene Descartes enlightenment carried no meaning in spiritual world! Those who had no idea of spirituality or enlightenment... how could they be expected to talk of enlightenment! Enlightenment was always meant for travellers of spiritual path... never philosophy! 

Whoever in the western world talked of enlightenment... was an absolute ignorant on path of pure spirituality! The essence of life never laid in books of philosophy... gradual manifestation of life only becomes possible by travelling spiritual path... never path of religion or philosophy! 

No matter how best one tried... God Almighty could never be reached via path of religion or philosophy! The enlightenment facts as detailed in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism are concise and complete. There was nothing further to add to what is detailed in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! Following teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita I finally realized God in 1993. 

This is my last manifestation on mother earth... 8.4 millionth manifestation! Having become a pure soul atman... I have reached end of my spiritual journey!
